My art is where the cynical, the hopeful and the fine art figure come together. My sculpture is beautiful curves and lines. It has multiple points of view. The art I create has texture and meaning. Some will find the light hearted feelings in my work, some find the dark.
After two decades creating graphics software, Chris became a computer graphic artist in order to provide a creative outlet. He became adept in the use of 2D and 3D modeling tools and created computer generated animation. In this capacity, he worked on short animated films and animated corporate logo design.
Chris was never satisfied with the limitations imposed by the computer on his art. He started creating clay sculpture to improve his computer modeling techniques, and found sculpting with his hands was far more enjoyable and less limiting than what he could achieve on the computer. It was during this time he moved his skills from the virtual computer world, to the actual world of sculpting, drawing and other media such as collage. Through time, his interests have evolved primarily into creating fine art figurative sculpture.
